In this first Efacec Switchgear newsletter we would like to share with you the 2015 results as well as the goals and challenges ahead for 2016.

Worldwide Switchgear has closed 2015 within budget after a huge effort made in searching for alternative new markets, namely in the Middle East.

An important challenge now stands: Grow in a sustainable way, maintaining the business profitability levels.

Projects and Products
Efacec Switchgear will supply around 500 cells of Primary Distribution for eleven substations in Saudi Arabia

Efacec is strengthening its position at the Middle East market, having received several new orders from this region. Switchgear business unit will supply MV equipment: 7.5 kV and 24 kV NORMACEL cells as well as 36 kV QBN7 cells, for Saudi Electricity Company SEC in South Arabia, and that will be installed in several distribution substations.
 
Efacec in the Graciólica Project, Azores (Portugal)
Efacec is producing now several equipment, including 15 kV medium voltage cells FLUOFIX, distribution transformers POWERCAST, and protection systems (with Series 500 and 430 relays) for the innovative project of Graciólica. This projects aims to build a new solar and wind power plant, producing renewable resources energy.
 
REVAC starts operating in electrical network of the Portuguese DSO
The new product developed by Efacec, called REVAC - aerial vacuum switch recloser, is already operating in the EDP Distribuição national network. It was developed to satisfy the needs in network management and that does not use gas technology (SF6).
 
Efacec concludes expedition of the last batch for CORPOELEC, Venezuela
During the last December, reception and expedition of the last batch of the 52 medium voltage cells for CORPOELEC, Empresa Elétrica Socialista da Venezuela. This supply is included in the contract signed between Efacec and CORPOELEC, for the branched delivery of outdoor cabinets of NORMACEL and QBN7.

Efacec Switchgear invested in the improvement of the production processes with the objective of increasing the production capacity and continuously improving operation conditions and products.

CIRED, France
Efacec group was present at one of the main worldwide community fora of Electricity Distribution, where the Switchgear and Automation Units presented the latest developments in this area, including the Automatic Recloser with vacuum circuit breaker - REVAC and its control cabinet - RCU 220.





 
BIEL, Argentina
Efacec carried out a promotional campaign, in Argentina, at the most important event in Buenos Aires – BIEL 2015.
 
FISE 2015, Colombia
Efacec was present at FISE 2015 - Feira Internacional do Setor Elétrico, that took place in Medellín - Colombia, from 25 to 27 November.
